What kind of house are you selling

Not selling now. I will next year. Want to know what kinds if weekends to avoid. Surely my future agent will know, but I'm just curious.

Seems to be not too many opens today, but in this market, think there would be people there anyway. Who knows where the market will be in a year.

I wouldn't make it your first weekend open house. There will be buyers, but not as many. I swear we got our house last year because it went on the market Mother's Day weekend.

My next door neighbors held their open on Father's Day, had steady traffic, got multiple bids, and the house went under contract today, above asking. And every single party I saw go into the house was a couple, most with little kids, so FD wasn't keeping them away. I guess the takeaway is in a hot market, people will show up for the right house in the right neighborhood whatever day it's open.

What was the price range and location?

None of the open houses have been super high traffic lately (at least that I've seen). Father's Day weekend was pretty much more of the same...not dead, but not crazy busy.

So first and foremost, if you're not selling until next year then don't worry about this until next year.

For those selling this year contemplating an open house on father's day: why not? you might get more traffic on this day & chances are you'll be out of the house celebrating with your family anyway.
