Appliance repair that doesnt charge a fortune just to come out and assess?

Any recommendations? A small piece of plastic on my friend door broke and it is causing the door to tilt slightly. Hopefully, I just need the new plastic piece and not a new door, but I HATE to pay $90 just for someone to come out and tell me that. Are there any repair people who come out for free or even less?

This is the game they play so you can't get another estimate (paid estimates). It sucks but companies do have this business model.

Kenney' s Appliance Service in Montgomery County (Chuck Kenney is the owner/operator) is by far the best and I've used most of them. He will usually have you give him a description of the part over the phone; order it; and then make the service call. Very honest, extremely knowledgeable and reasonable (like $60 for service call)....
