Carribean Cruise in late August

We're planning to go for Caribbean Cruise in late August. Is it safe during this time?

Are you wondering about hurricanes? If so, this is the height of Atlantic hurricane season (August - September). However, that doesn't mean you'll encounter one or, if there is one, it will be where your ship is going.

You run the risk of a hurricane or tropical storm, so I would definitely buy trip insurance - but make sure you read the policy carefully before you buy to ensure that you would be covered.

It will be HOT and humid, and you will likely get some rain, but if there is no *weather,* it should be great! We were in the Carribean last August for a week - first half was amazing. Hot and breezy, not a cloud in the sky. Second half we got hit with a tropical storm so we played a lot of cards and spent more time in the pool than on the beach.

We did one last year, and the weather was OK (very hot and humid, and only occasional rain) at the ports. It was however very nice when the boat was at sea (very breezy).
