| I recently started going to spin class on a regular basis and am sure I'm getting a yeast infection. The problem is that my ob requires a visit and I really don't want to go. I have decided not to return to the practice after my horrible birth experience. The new place I want to go is not booking till July and I really was hoping to be seen this week. Anything I'm not thinking of for treatment, any urgent care places that treat this? |
|
Ask your GP, they might call in a prescription.
|
| Urgent care, minute clinic, insurance nurse line. Many places will give you an Rx for YI or UTI if you've had it before and know the symptoms and treatment. |
| Just go to an urgent care. |
| Monistat is otc |
| Wrong forum? |

urgent care for a yeastie??
That's ridiculous! Pick up a Monistat CVS (7-day is most effective for me, but they have 1 and 3 day treatments). Spend some time w/o undies and reduce your sugar intake. Done and done. |
| I suspect, but don't know, that PP can prescribe meds for a yeast infection. |
Yeast infections should be properly checked out by a doctor, as they are commonly misdiagnosed |
If you've had one then you know. I get them all the time, usually they clear up on their own but Monistat knocks them out. |
| Google garlic and yeast infections. Bizarre. But effective. |
What are they commonly mistaken for? |
+1 A lot of women mistakenly think any itchy discharge is yeast. |
Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is the big one. I used to work in public health and this was one of the things we worked to educate young women about. |
