Orange is the New Black season 2 - full season discussion - SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

I wanted to post a separate thread because I don't want to spoil anyone who hasn't watched the entire thing yet...

A few things didn't work for me in an otherwise outstanding season...

The Polly/Larry storyline- it was well established last season that Larry is sort of a jerk and on the periphery and I really don't need to care about him, but then there was ALL THIS TIME spent on a Polly/Larry romance and I was just not buying it. For one thing, it seemed like Larry missed Piper in the beginning of the season, then he bonds a little bit with Polly and then BAM! true love. It was so bizarre. And as a woman who has had a newborn twice, that is just about the worst time to start up a romance. I cannot see myself throwing myself at an affair in that condition. Just not going to happen.

The nun's storyline... so what did we get at the end of that? It didn't seem like she had a real epiphany or learned anything, she just ate a muffin. The whole thing rang a little untrue for me.

Ok, and maybe I am a huge prude, but I don't think I am and there was just sooo much sex. I watch a lot of tv and sometimes it is really part of the plot momentum, but really, all of my favorite tv shows are really going overboard. I don't want to watch sex on tv, I don't care if it is homosexual or heterosexual. If I want to see explicit sex acts I will watch porn, otherwise, no. And I feel like a lot of it is just catering to the male audience at this point.

Other than that I thought it was an awesome season.

I've only watched through episode 4. I thought Morello's backstory was fascinating.

I did, too. I thought it was so wonderful how Christopher felt like the "bad" guy, even though obviously Morello had terrorized him.
