What were you doing the moment you found out your child was accepted to an elite private school?

Pre-K: It was a cold day. I lived in an apartment and the fat envelope was jammed inside the box. At first I thought it was a magazine, but when I pulled it out, I saw the logo of green children holding hands.

St. Albans: I was having a Christmas open house and my son ran out to get the mail for me. I was holding a tray of stuffed mushrooms when I saw the envelope in his hand...

I was having tea in the drawing room with my lady-in-waiting waiting for the chauffeur to pick up Larlo from the country club where he had his golf lesson. The butler came in with a big envelope.

People are animals.

Well I like to remember relevant moments in my kids life. Maybe I will remember college acceptance not when they were accepted to overpriced and overrated schools.

This can’t be a serious post…

And in a forum population ranging from Zillenial second (or third) wives to bitter Gen Xers who used donor eggs 17 years ago, the communication gap widens…

It isn't funny. It is kind of sad. One pays $60K to get a relatively decent education, but hoping their kid won't be raped in the bathroom.

Agreed! You did well, Mama.

Yes, but not all the Mamas are the same. If they married rich and hired a night nurse and nannies to take care of their kids, yes, I agree, they deserve so much.

You seem fun.

Since you can’t seem to decipher this on your own, I’ll try to help and offer: the thread is satire. The responses are also satire.

They are satire for a reason. We are all the characters in it.
