Lisa Shorts said at a recent Eastern MS PTSA meeting that she planned to retire from Eastern in the next few years, spending out her career there. What is up with this? Sorry for Eastern- great principal. |

She’s not gonna speak about her plans publicly. Schools like Banneker either get a first-time/young principal or one of the very best principals available - it’s a big challenge. Maybe she just needed a change. And she also lives closer to Banneker. |

| Shorts has the opportunity to do great things there. Even bigger than anything at Eastern. Lots of untapped potential. CO sees it and I suspect that’s why they moved her. Data shows PB cluster is on the rise. |

You're right, she didn't have to talk about her plans publicly, but she volunteered the information. I guess Central Office came to her subsequent to her remarks and she is making this change. |
