He coached the older HS age groups mainly. From what I've heard, he's around still helping FCV until a successor comes on or succession plan comes out.

Yes it’s unusual. He coached multiple GA teams. Even more unusual when it happens and months go by and the club gives no communication about the plan forward.

There can only be one top dog. Even in professional soccer, generally one league is ranked above all others. In this case, ECNL reigns supreme and don't see that fact changing anytime soon.

Does every NWSL team have an academy? Where do they play?

Regardless not enough NWSL teams to cover the country for their own youth league, but that's the only way I see ECNL losing out is if you get something similar to MLSnext but on the NWSL side.

Believe there are 5 clubs that affiliate with youth academies. 3 play in ECNL (NC Courage, Racing Louisville, and Portland Thorns) and 2 in GA (Houston Dash and OL Reign).

There were more clubs affiliated to youth academies when the DA was around.

NWSL has hinted recently that they would like to work on this, though I have my doubts.

Does NWSL have the finances or will these be pay to play money makers? Academies, in the traditional sense, are expensive and NWSL is broke. League minimum salary is 35k, league average is 65k. Can they really afford to subsidize youth soccer?

Houston Dash lost the affiliation and are now known as HTX GA. Many players moved over to ECNL teams. The TOP US 2009 Lonestar GA team moved it's whole team to STING Austin ECNL this past fall. #GAisFailing

Funny how much the alternatives want to see FCV fail. What does that say about them and what they offer? The reality is key people move on sooner or later in every organization and the almost universal result has occurred—they’ve been replaced. A handful of current BP devotees might follow him next season, but in two years this board will be full of FCV hate toward the new coaching staff and FCV families won’t even know who BP is, not because he’s not a great coach, but because everyone is replaceable.
