Harbour School? Any experiences or comments?

Anonymous
Does anyone have any experiences with this school? We are most interested in the Annapolis area program, but information on the other locations is welcome too. I'd like to know how committed they are and how much micro managing they require, how sucessful graduates have been in entering and staying successful as functional adults (I know they have stats on their website).

Our son has mild ID, significant cognitive delays and speech language delays. He also has ADHD. We are looking at the elementary program, but any feedback is welcome.

Thanks in advance!

Do a search. The gist of the comments is they are well-meaning but inept.

I think most of the comments are for the harbor school in Bethesda, a general ed school that may be more accommodating, not the harbour school in Baltimore and Annapolis that is a SN school.

OP here -- yes, NOT the general education school. The Harbour School spelled with a "u," and that was founded in Annapolis.

I have a friend whose ds has similar challenges. He attends the Barbour School in Annapolis, and they are very happy with his program. He is a in the upper elementary grades and just finished his first year there.

Harbor, not Barbour!

Hello, I was hoping to find more info about this school, I am planning on touring next month, but would love to hear parents feedback as well.
We have a rising 3rd grader that has a moderate speech delay, ADD, and some sensory.

TIA

OP,

This is a list of SN schools that include Harbour and other ones in that general area:

If you live in that area and are doing a school search it might be useful. I haven't seen Harbour mentioned very much on this forum. You may also want to search MCNeeds Yahoo Group: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/MCneeds/info

Of course touring and asking to talk with current and former parents can be helpful. GL.
