Vince and Dominic's Closed (Forever?)

V&D closed this past Friday-something to do with lease renewal with Home Depot. I know people are divided on this issue but I for one am truly sad.

I wonder what really happened with the lease. V & D's statement was that Home Depot didn't allow them to renew it. I wonder if HD is planning on redeveloping that shopping center. It's sad that they had to close after being in business for so long.

That is sad. We used to go to the "original" Regina's in Clinton and were happy to find the sane pizza at v&d.

What? Is this the one in Bethesda behind Montgomery Mall? We were just there a week ago, and had no idea. I am truly, truly sad.

Yes this is the one -- closed after 31 years. From what I read, the owners thought Home Depot was going to renew their lease. Sad to see it go.

Too bad. They had good pizza and were local.

One thing after another has closed in that strip. HD must have a plan for it.
I hope they don't come for Plaza Azteca--our favorite Mexican restaurant. But it sure looks like there's some writing on the wall.

Maybe HD has that area slated for a real garden center....

Not terribly sad about this one... I have fond fond memories of going to V&D with my parents in the 80s, but tried it once after moving back to the area a few years ago and concluded either the pizza had changed or my memories were altered by nostalgia.
Now, if and when Vace's closes, then I will mourn! And be very very hungry on Fridays.
