Quick question about taking progesterone while in peri-menopause

Anonymous
I am 48 and use an estrogen gel (Estrogel). My gyn said if I go over 3 months without a period, to protect against cancer, I need to take a progesterone for 10 days to bring on a period.

So just did this routine and here I am on day 11 and no period. Of course with my luck, it's Saturday and no one's at the doctor's office, and Dr. Google is not helping, so hoping some of you can help clue me in!

1) What does this mean, not getting the period?

2) More importantly, do I keep taking the progesterone over the weekend until Monday when I can call the doctor's office to find out what to do, or not take it and call on Monday?

TIA!

Do they not have someone on call? I thought OBGYN offices usually do.

It can take up to ten days to get your period after finishing progesterone, so no need to worry.
