Homemade Pizza Co appears to be closed :(

I am SO BUMMED. I love their sauce and their deep dish is honestly the best I've had in DC. I called all three DC locations today and no answer at all. Not even a voicemail message. I really might cry.

I never had it so I can't comment on the quality, but I just didn't get it. You pay a fairly premium price for a pizza that you then have to go pick up, take back home, bake for a while, then eat? I'd rather make a frozen pizza and doctor it up, make pizza from scratch, or order an already cooked pizza for delivery or takeout (both quicker). It just didn't make sense to me.

^^ must tastier than frozen. Much easier than making your own. Tastier and healthier than delivery.

I really liked their pizza.

I occasionally got it and really liked it. Way better than the whole foods bake at home pizzas. But, I always found it to be overpriced (hence the 'occasionally' part.)

Their website is down too!

I drive (drove) by the one on Connecticut Ave. most days and I never saw anyone in there . . . I really mean never.

They needed to offer delivery, especially at their 14th street location.

Yes! I would drive to pick up and spend 20 minutes circling around for a parking space. No thank you.

Agree with the PPs-- the pizza was good, but overpriced.

Ha - we were trying to call them tonight! Now it makes sense why they didn't answer and the website was down!

I pit the ingredients in the bread machine in the morning, in the evening we role out and everyone makes their own. Takes 10 minutes and easier than stopping off anywhere. And it is almost free.

Thought their pizza was too expensive for having to go home and cook it. But it was pretty good.

Wow. FINALLY!!! How the duck did this place last so long? Paying more than delivery to cook your own mediocre pizza.

People don't want homemade pizza. If they did, they would make it. I want something better than the crap I make at home and if you say yours is better, unless you have a serious commercial oven, you are lying.
