What kind of (non-dairy) liquid are you using for your green smoothies?

I've been using the So Delicious Coconut Milk (unsweetened), but have been reading about how the carrageenan isn't great for you?

What are some other good options? I'm thinking of trying juice - pomegranate, maybe. Wondering what others do!

Unsweetened almond milk. I just use the Whole Foods brand, but I don't remember what, if any, additives it has.

Is there any peer-reviewed research on carrageenan? The only place I've seen it panned is on Paleo blogs, and I don't know what science is behind the caution.

Ditto! Unsweetened almond milk. Or green juice (home made). Heck, water will work, too.

I just use water, and only about one cup. The rest of my liquid comes from the cucumber and orange, mainly.
