I always used to get tiny clots during my period, but about 1 year after having baby-I have been getting these golf ball sized, masses of jelly-like clots. Not sure at this point if it is even related to giving birth. Felt one coming out earlier and found it on the pad. Eeeww! Wanted to pass out when I saw it!
I know I should call the doctor, but I prefer not to. Has anyone else experienced? I mean-it was so big I felt it coming out! GAG!!! |
| Yep, call the doctor to just make sure, but I had the same experience. I finally had had enough - - it was ridiculous the trouble this was causing me!! I had my GYN put a Mirena in and now my periods are so light, it's wonderful. |

Do you have any pain or discomfort?
Was your period late (chemical pregnancy?)? |

Yeah, I get huge clumps when I'm not on the pill. Mostly a bunch of sort of big clumps that form an even bigger clump in the bottom of the toilet. Don't know if it's ever been golf ball sized though. I never talked to my doctor about it because I thought it was normal. The nurse at my doc's office said pregnancy can change your period. I had a lot of break through bleeding on the pill they prescribed to me after my pregnancy, although the problem was solved after switching pills.
Really, just call your doctor. Maybe I have a high tolerance for gross, but I don't think blood clots or anything related to a woman's cycle is gross at all. The human body is amazing. |
| This happens to me every cycle. I'd call your doctor to be sure....but I wouldn't worry too much. |

I get these too, 5 years postpartum. They can overpower even the most absorbent tampon on the market, I've found.
I don't worry about it though. |
