Vacation ideas with a 10 month old

| DD will be 10 months in August, and we would appreciate vacation ideas. What vacations, places work best for a child under a year. |

What do you "want" to do for vacation? I've found that kids under a year (even under 2 years) travel well to just about anywhere. I'd just take your own portable crib with you, and not use what's provided at hotels. They are often broken, or so old they don't comply with current safety regs. (Not to mention dirty).

We took 13 month old to Bar Harbor, ME and stayed in a cottage. There were lots of things to do for
short periods of time. Lobster boat ride, carriage ride, hikes (with baby backpack), drives. Our son took 2 naps a day and still was pretty nice. we stayed here: http://www.emeryscottages.com/ |
