| I'm having a major craving, but don't want a whole cake. Is there any bakery that will cut you a slice of cake (as opposed to like Safeway that has slices of cake that they cut a week ago and put in plastic boxes)? |
| Cheesecake Factory. Cake Love. |
| I would guess that independent bakeries aren't open today. With that said, Victoria's Cakery in Fairfax sells cake by the slice, but call before you go because they don't have that many each day. |
| Incredible Edibles - but it's out in Reston. Amazing cake slices though. |
| Whole Foods usually has some cut -- the one in Arlington usually has two large sheet cakes in the case that are with the same fillings as their regular cakes. You buy as many pieces as you like. |
| Firehook sells slices. |
| Plus the tons of cupcake places |
Why not buy your favorite cake, have a slice, and share the rest with neighbors, coworkers.etc. ? My mother used to take sheet cakes to the hospital, enjoy a slice with the nurses, and leave it there. |

Only problem, their baked goods are lousy. Expensive, but lousy. |
| Isn't this exactly why cupcakes are popular? |
| +1 for Cake Love (14th St.) and Firehook (multiple locations, incl. Q St. in Dupont Circle and the home office in Alexandria) |
+1 Mmmmmm, Heaven Cake is my personal favorite! |
| Aladdin's |
| Any diner. Too bad we aren't in philadelphia |
