When you're traveling with teens, do you all share a room? We are a family of four (mom, dad, girl - 17, girl - 14) and I'm thinking ahead to our summer vacation this year...would it save our sanity if I got two rooms instead of one?
We do two when we can afford it, so it varies.
I think I'm the OP of the post you're spinning off. Have past trips felt insane? If there were issues related to sharing a room/bathroom/bed on past trips, then I'd consider it. However, if it ain't broke don't fix it.
We all still stay in one room, but when the oldest got to about 10 or 11, we started sleeping with mom/daughter in one bed and dad/son in the other on vacation. When possible, we get a room with 2 queens and a sofa bed so the kids can each have their own bed.
We shoved a family of six in one room all the time. We were cheap though.
I have four kids - two teens, two in elementary school. We always, get at least two rooms.
We just did our first family vacatin with two adjoining rooms. It was great -- much less fighting and drama than when we were all crammed together. Kids are 13 and 14.

We do a suite.
