While I would like the whole house interior painted, there is not time for it. I need two bedrooms and a kitchen and small adjoining room painted. 1920s colonial with plaster walls. Ceilings may also need to be painted.
Appreciate cost estimates for this project. thanks. |
| BUMP - this is for NW DC in case folks believe there is "surge" pricing. |
| BUMP - really appreciate any insight here. The last time I had this done, DH told me the cost was outrageous. |

Just saw this in the new issue of Washington Checkbook posted online ... seems like there is a huge variation in pricing depending on whom you hire ... I'd probably make a few different calls and get estimates.

| About $300 -$500 max, if you DIY |
| we got estimates on a similar job and they varied a LOT. Anywhere from $1200-3500. it was insane. We went with the lowest one and they did great job. It's painting, not surgery. |
What?! Paint is $25 a gallon. Surely 4-5 gallons would paint two/three rooms. |
Not that poster but add in paint brushes, plastic, tape and other stuff and it adds up quickly. |
Not that quick. $200 max for DIY. You can get a painter or three for a day for $500-800. |
