Our 1 year old got the MMR shot on Monday the 19th. He was at the Fair Lakes Whole Foods last week. Ugh.

Is always seems like people with measels are always out and about. Don't people ever just stay home and test if they are sick?

Measles, like several other vaccine-preventable diseases such as chicken pox, begins with what seems like symptoms of the common cold. Until the rash shows up, the kid is just coughing and sneezing.

because we live in a free country! I am pro-vaccine but I for sure DO NOT want the US Govt forcing me to do it.

Yes, but going to the grocery store with a toddler who has a runny nose is very different than going to the store with a toddler who you know to have measles.

My guess would be that it's an employee at South Riding pediatrics. The person was there M,T,W. Someone in the early stages of the measles wouldn't be at the doctor three days in a row.

The first patient was a child at South Riding Pediatrics
The second was an employee at South Riding Pediatrics
Both had been vaccinated

It's scary to think of how many babies too young for the vaccine were seen in the office over those three days, let alone the vaccinated kids who could still potentially develop the measles.

According to South Riding pediatrics, the child was vaccinated.

I thought the child was four years old, so had the first dose but hadn't yet had the second dose which occurs between four to six years old.
