Chipotle - What fillings are you offered with tacos?

Anonymous
If you order tacos, do you get offered beans or rice? At the Chipotle I frequent, they skip right over those and go to the corn, salsa, lettuce, and cheese. Is this the norm? Burritos get everything but tacos get slimmer options?

I know, I know.....this is potentially a major injustice I'm bringing up.

I don't think they're standard on tacos, but you can ask for anything you want, and they'll give you rice and beans on tacos for no extra charge.

Tacos don't traditionally come with rice or beans. I'm sure you could ask for them and they would comply, but that leaves very little room for anything else.

I always do veggie tacos with rice, beans, and grilled veg.

This. The shells are really small.

Tacos don't include rice. They may include beans if vegetarian. This is not a Chipotle thing, it's the traditional definition of a taco.

weird question to me
at every chipotle you tell them exactly what you want on anything you order
i like hard shell tacos
and i always get rice on my tacos...then tell them everything else i want...
if you want the other stuff why are you not asking for it?

Just ask.

When I get a burrito they always ask me about beans, which I don't like, and I say "No thank you, can I have fajita veggies instead?" and they say yes. They've also said yes when I ask for half chicken half steak, or double beans for my son, or a quesadilla, or other things that they don't offer. It's all good and not some secret form of discrimination.

I think of the taco's @ Chipotle as mini-burrito's so I always get rice and beans

Anything is fair game until you get to the guac.

I get a veggie with rice and peppers.. you have to ask for the peppers (or when I get my husband his with meat). If you do not have a protein, some of them let you have the guac for free.

Also, they charge extra for more than two salsas IME.

I've never had that happen.
