First day of 2009-10 school year

I've been trying to find out the first day of school for DCPS for next school year (trying to plan summer activities). I couldn't find anything on the website. One school told me that DCPS won't be coming out with the calendar for next year until April 2009. If anyone has an info that would be great! Thanks

our school office told me this week that it had not been announced yet by dcps.
also- 8-31 is pretty late- its been 8-24 and 8-25 the last couple of years.
