Assuming you don't have a basement, mudroom, or other obvious location in your home, where do you locate the catbox? We live in a small rowhouse and can't really designate a place for it. Currently it is tucked under a counter in the kitchen by the back door. It doesn't smell thank goodness, but it does get in the way occasionally. Any thoughts?
Build a hideaway box. You can find a small piece of furniture such as a cubic-shaped end table, take the door off and put the box inside. Google "Hideaway litter box."
+1 I don't mean this to be rude, but more likely than not that box does smell in your kitchen. You get used to the smell, just like I'm used to the dog smell. I would move it to someplace with lower traffic such as a bedroom or office if you have one. My cousin cut a doggie door in the closet of their office and put the box in there, but a hideaway would be good if you don't have closet space to throw away. |
When we lived in an apartment we had it in our bathroom.
We have ours in a second bathroom.
