It is so confusing trying to find a rental car at the best price. We want a mid-sized car or van and plan on renting two carseats. Is Budget rental car OK?
I know you didn't ask, but if you're staying at a WDW resort, I wouldn't bother renting a car (we never do and have gone many times). Also, I hate car rental place car seats. I find them to be very dirty. With that said, when I do rent cars (but I haven't rented at Disney), I always use Hertz.
OP here - we aren't staying at a WDW resort. i know those shuttles are very convenient.
You will be happy to have a car of your own. I would poke my eyes out if I was unable to leave the Disney compound. That being said use Hertz. If you have an Amex gold or platinum card I am pretty sure you get an automatic upgrade on your car

Disney shuttles make life simple. I really hate driving one vacation -trying to figure out where the heck I am. I don't care how easy GPS is. That being said, aside from price, another thing to consider is convenience. Budget has a off-site rental. They have a decent shuttle though. You come out of Orlando airport and they quickly get you there. But several places are right in the airport lower level. I believe Alamo and Avis are still there. As are about 2-3 others, some names as well. Shop the web orbitz, hotwire, etc. They will usually tell you if they are on-site or not when you really look at the details.

I just got an Alamo rental for $32.99/day for a full size SUV using code IG. Try Mousesavers.com for coupon codes.
Amex has a rate of $199 for a week for a van. I think it's using Dollar and you can find it on their Specials page.
