This is going to depend on how much info the mother has?

common first name only: She's probably up sh*t's creek without a paddle.

common first name and a home address: only a bit better than common first name only.

first and last name and a home address: they will send him a letter and possible serve papers.

first and last name as well as home & work addresses, plus other stable information such as a license plate number, other relatives, etc.: He will get mail and be served.

Why didn't he sign the affidavit of paternity at the hospital when baby was born?

This is why I'm raising my daughters to not have sex with people outside of a well-established relationship.

They have access to the federal new hire registry which is a debt collectors dream resource that contains the names, addresses, SSNs and employers of almost all new hires. Obviously if someone is working off the books they won't find them. They can also subpoena information from cell phone providers if you have a phone number. So like I said, they can do a lot.

Nope, just teaching them to them discerning and exercise self-control. By example, I might add since I divorced and started dating just when my older DD entered adolescence. Do you require a chastity belt to keep you from screwing people casually?
