What do you usually spend on a present for a classmate's birthday party?

Meaning you don't know the family and the whole class is invited. What's average?

I usually spend $20.

Anywhere from $10 to $20. With good friends, it's more $20 to $30.

+1

I also try to get consumable or regiftable items for kids we don't know so well. One of my favorite gifts for young kids is Color Wonder - they have designs that appeal to both boys and girls and they are usually $9-12 at Target and sometimes less.

$10 for classmates we don't know well.

$15-20, hopefully closer to $15 if it's someone my kid isn't super-buddies with.

Not the PP, but when I see board games go on sale at Target, I buy several to keep on hand for bday gifts -- usually in the $10 to $12 range. You can also get a bunch of art supplies from craft stores for $10.

Marshall's and TJ Maxx also have a decent supply of toys you can get for less than $15.

$10-$25 depending if my child is really friends with the kid or not.

$10-$15 if it's someone we don't know very well, $20-$30 if close friend.
