Rich soil amended with compost, trellis or tomato cage for support and steady, even watering with yield good cucumbers. Go easy on the fertilizer. As with any vegetable, too much fertilizer can result in lush leaves and not much else.

Definitely steady, even watering. Don't let them dry out.

A trellis to keep them off the ground. I am currently researching how to make my own cheap trellis!

A tomato cage works.

Cheap trellis: pine furring strips and/or garden stakes cut to desired size. Nail cross pieces, leaving ends free as stakes. Staple chicken wire onto it. Done.
