Hi all -
It appears that undercovertourist.com has the best on-line ticket prices for Disney. However, if I am bumped up to a 7 day ticket, but will not be there for 7 days, can someone else use the tickets? Or does Disney check ID? TIA |
| No one else can use the tickets. They use a fingerprint admission system. |

No wonder they are so expensive!
Is it worth it all? We are there (just outside of Disney world) for a week with a 5,8,9 year old with varying interest in all things disney. What's a strategy to consider with all these ticket options? Is it really possible to go to multiple parks in one day? (They all agree on Sea World, everything else will be a compromise for someone.) |

I had the park hopper option earlier this year and for us we used it. BUT given the ages of your kids and the expense, I would not go with it. (note: Next time we go we are not getting this option)
Here is how it worked for us: We were staying on the Disney Property 1st thing in the morning we went to our park of choice Around noon we went back to our hotel for naps During naps, 1 adult may have gone for a walk to either Epcot or Hollywood studios - possibly gotten fast pass for later that day After naps, went to a park for dinner, and a few activities Your children are not nap age and given the premium, I would plan my day around 1 park. There is enough to do at 1 park and when you are done you can go back to your hotel and enjoy the pool or relax. An example, we went to Animal Kingdom and were there before the park opened at 9AM. We left at 12:30 and only did 4 things. We could have spent the entire day there if our kids were older. |

Wanted to share my experience with the fingerprint technology at Disney.
They turn off the fingerprint scanners first thing in the morning when everyone is trying to get in because it takes too long. So if you want to try and use someone else's tickets - as long as you are there when the gates open, you can probably make it work. Also, I was using my ticket with my fingerprint. I think it worked once in the 4 days we were there. |

OP, have you been to Disboards.com? Get thee to the site for answers to this and much more.
Better yet, buy a membership to Tourguidemike.com for $18 and save yourself waiting in lines, and be able to be in the least crowded park each day. I kid you not, we have never waited in a line longer than 20 minutes, ever in all the years we've been to Disney with kids. If you follow his advice, you will not need or want Hoppers. It works against you if you pick the right park (you'll see why when you read his site, trade secrets... he's a former tour guide for Disney VIPs.) Your kids sound like the perfect ages, really. Other than boy/ girl differences, most rides at Disney are appealing to kids over 5 that meet the height requirements. My then 5 y/o rode everything her 12 y/o brother rode, with the exception of Tower of Terror and Expedition Everest. Oh, and re: getting FPs with other people's tickets, you can't do that anymore. The other person would not have activated their ticket/ room key for that park unless they'd already been there earlier that same day. Lastly, even though your kids aren't nap age, you still might want to take a break mid-day to rest, cool off in the pool, etc if you're going in the heat of summer (April - October, really). It's so nice, and kids always love to swim every day! |
