Astounded that my clematis is blooming while I still have camellias in bloom

I agree, the long winter has forced plants who flower at different times to do it all at the same time. it was so strange to see my forsythia blooming at the same time of my camellia. unfortunately we are a family with allergies, so this past month has been particularly difficult with all this pollen...

My camelia stalled with buds for weeks, then bloomed super late.
I guess the buds were formed before the harsh cold and stunted growth?
Also, my beloved forsythia died It was planted in honor of my deceased nephew. Guess I'll need another forsythia.

My rosemary also died from the winter... But I digress.
