| doesn't have to be like 'field of dreams' for baseball but with soccer as a main element. perhaps something like 'bend it like beckham' but for boys? |
| Gus the Incredible Kicking Mule. Ok, its football but still a classic. |
|
My 10-year-old son loves Bend it Like Beckham.
Also, Kicking and Screaming with Will Ferrell. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0384642/ There really should be more movies about soccer. And, show him this...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jU4oA3kkAWU |
| Rudy! |
| Sorry, didn't see it needed to be soccer. |
| Shoalin soccer showdown - Kung fu plus soccer. Campy but very fun. I hAve no clue if I spelled that right |
Do you mean "about" boys? Because I don't think "Bend it Like Beckham" had a specific audience in mind. That said there was a great movie a few years back about Tibetan kids who became huge fans of the World Cup. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0201840/ |
oh god i recently complimented a boy on DS soccer team for an "incredible kick" goalie kick... and the boy's name? Gus... |

Green Street Hooligans.

The link broke, so select "movies" to the left for a list of movies. |
| Ok. I'm going to say Goal! The Dream begins - it is rightfully PG-13 so check if you are ok with content - no nudity but there is a scene or 2 of "wild party" frat-house-ish behavior although it is ultimately frowned upon by the film - the eventual message is kind of 'be good. play good. make your dad proud.' A very cliche movie but would probably appeal to a 10 year boy. |
Haha, that's what I was going to suggest too! Loved that movie as a child
