We recently found out we are pregnant and are kindof overwhelmed by the daycare options. I keep reading that you need to get on waitlists immediately, but we don't know where to start. We live in Dupont and work in Conn/K street area. We will probably need care starting around May/June of next year. Is there a listing of daycare rankings? Any popular ones in either of those areas? We both work for private companies with no preference. I feel like we are flying blind. |
We are at Huckleberry Cheesecake and love it there, especially the infant room. You should definitely get on waitlists now. Huck is about a year before you get off, as are most of the other daycares in the area. You might also check out the Bright Horizons L St.
Congrats and good luck! |
P.S. Huck is in DuPont, and I too work around K Street, so it's an easy walk. |
Thanks!! That is very helpful! |
There was a long thread about Huckleberry Cheesecake awhile back-do a search |
another vote for huckleberry! and you're in the perfect location for them, and great timing to get on their list. i bet you'll get in when you want it, if you get on their list now. congrats! |
Also suggest Small Savers if you have a fed preference (or even if you don't). They are near the WH. Friends love it there. |
