It looks like everyone has white trim and colored walls . Why? Are people not that creative or what? Why not play with the color of the trim vis-a-vis the walls? Or have trim painted with different colors depending on the wall color? Or a bold (or, alternatively, pastel) color for both trim and wall?
And why semigloss trim? One could play with different textures, not just semigloss. It looks like a religion, "thou shall have white semigloss trim." |
Yep, I have pale pastels on my walls and ceilings and glossy cream trim.
That's how I like it. |
Ah. Yay! So you're that person when I am looking through listings and think to myself "what the hell were they thinking?" Nice to finally meet you! Tell me more about yourself. |
Because I like the way it looks and the semi gloss is easy to clean.
Frankly, I consider myself lucky that I managed to convince my husband to put any color up on the wall. |

Because repainting all the trim each time I want to change a wall color would be a nightmare. |
^ that looks nice but the large majority of people don't have the type of home or decor to pull that off. |
You post a picture with no words. I do not get your point. |
Semigloss is better for the wood trim, no? |

The tacit point is that humans can try something other than white trim, as exemplified by the picture. |
Show me something other than black or white trim, that looks good |
And if you want to be daring.
