So far in getting quotes, Liberty Mutual is the cheapest. Has anyone had good/bad experience with them?
If anyone is curious, these are the quotes I got: Homeowners: Nationwide = $1,545/year Geico - $1,701/year Liberty Mutual = $1,292/year Erie = $1,541/year For Auto: Nationwide = $6,108/year Geico - $2,712/year Liberty Mutual = $2,477/year Erie = $3,035/year Also, if anyone would like to recommend an insurance company not listed, it would be appreciated.

My family has had LM for over 15-20 years. We bundle everything - home, 3 autos, my renter's, and my dad's life.
I am in my 20's still so it makes more $ sense for me to keep my two policies (renter's and car) bundled with my parents' because of their long history with LM and to just reimburse my parents for my policies' costs. We actually switched everything to Progressive and saved a ton of money about a year ago, after a few claims (one on renter's, one on a car) over the years and they kept incrementally raising premiums. After only about 2 months, LM called us and matched Progressive's rates to get us back. Never had a bad experience, were always great during the claims process, but we had to switch to get our rates lowered. |
Thanks! I think we are going to go with Liberty Mutual. It just feels so weird to switch, I've been with Nationwide for over 15 years. I guess I just never really noticed how my rates were going up each year, and I never shopped around for insurance before, so it didn't seem oddly high to me. |
