| Anybody watching the Amazing Race? I've watched every single season, some more exciting than others. The current All Stars race is really fun, but the non-elimination legs are driving me mad. The blonde girls are absolutely awful mooching users who wouldn't get through the race without the help from other teams and the non-elimination legs. Does anybody know or think (like I do) that the non-elim rounds are rigged? I've often thought that. I have a feeling they allow them for the most loved and the most hated teams, never the ho-hum teams. Anybody else think the blondes are lame schemers? Also, the father-son team is getting worse by the episode. |
| Rooting for the cowboys all the way. |
| Love TAR! DH and I have watched every season, and yes, totally think non-elimation rounds are simply to help certain teams. |
|
I live the Afghanimals. Much more than their last season.
Brenchel is good for entertainment, but they seem like horrible people. |
| Of course they are rigged so that popular teams don't get eliminated. |
| I like Rachel and Brenden now that they're the odd men out. The other teams (minus cowboys) have ganged up on them in the ickiest teenage-drama way I can't help but root for them. Hate the girls. The father/son duo lost me once they started harping on getting U-turned (they seem to think they can't be uturned since they are a 60+ year-old man and a cancer survivor). That attitude comes off as pathetic. Afghanimals are OK (I agree they're coming off better this season), but I'd like them better if they'd split from that stupid alliance; and I wish they would all stop feeding answers to the blonde girls. That said, the Cowboys are the most deserving. |
| Love TAR so much! Yeah, I'm rooting for the cowboys. I used to like the Mormon father and son team, but I don't like their behavior after getting U-turned--so juvenile. I was frankly surprised -- thought they were more classy than that. I also liked the Harlem Globetrotters--sad to see them go. |
|
Sad for the cowboys that they were u-turned.
They were so deserving to win, and have had a great attitude all along . I liked that they stayed out of the drama. The other seasons were the same. They were perceived as the greatest threat and u-turned, or in their initial season all the other teams ganged up and solved a detour together (giving everyone the answer without doing the actual task) and they were left out. I've wondered about the timing of the non elimination legs as well... |

Love TAR but I think the casting for all stars was weak. No clue why the cowboys globetrotters and Margie/Luke got a third turn.
And I'm not a fan of the country singers either. I'm not rioting for any team really. I guess Dave and Conner but I didn't like how much they whined about being upturned while simultaneously uturning the afganimals. |
| Sad about last night's results! They were definitely having an "off" leg, though. That plus the U - turn was enough to eliminate them. |
They are playing AR like Survivor. The "oh poor me" thing they do will take them right to the end. And yes, those blond girls are getting a pass. |
| Well. Among the final 3 I thought I wanted Brenden and Rachel to win because I felt a bit sorry for them being ganged up on. However, once they tried to steal the cab, and used the odd "it's for our baby" plea, I was over it. So that left 3 teams I don't even like which made for a ho-hum finale. But the blondes, having been saved by 2 non-elimination rounds AND so much help from others, didn't deserve to win. So, I suppose, father-son duo was the best of the 3. Humph. |
|
Is it just me or was that the lamest final leg ever? There wasn't even a difficult challenge.
Agree with PP - the 'it's for our baby' nonsense from the Brenchels was super annoying. I was actually glad that Dave and Connor won - the Dad got progressively more annoying throughout the season, but I thought that the son was really humble and likeable. |
Usually they have to complete a challenge about remembering details of the trip...countries in order, flags, currency, or something like that. This time they just had to fly in, no challenge. Weird. |
