Whole30 for vegetarians?

Anonymous
Hope this is the right forum for this question. I would like to do a complete turnaround in my eating habits, which are abysmal. I've heard about the Whole30 diet but I'd dismissed it out of hand because it seemed to restrictive for a lacto-ovo vegetarian. But digging around the Internet I found a Whole30 shopping list tailored for vegetarians and vegans that includes beans and lentils.

Has anyone tried this diet? What are your thoughts? The main thing I'm hoping for is weight loss, so would love to hear thoughts on this score. Thanks much.

i have done it, but not as a vegetarian. I felt great eating that way and lost some weight on the diet, gained it back when I went back to eating grains thought. Not sure how you would get enough protein doing the vegetarian version as I am sure they still don't allow soy.

For weight loss, try vegetarian and 5:2 intermittent fasting. Google it.
