What's more current. Chime in please.
Bronze
I like bronze too
Rubbed bronze is more current but I still like my brushed nickel.
Oiled bronze is out. Nickel (not brushed) is in
I like both but it really depends on the rest of the decor of the house.
Brushed nickel is more neutral and will appeal to most people
It depends on the house. We have espresso wood floors and deep paint colors. The brushed nickel looked really blah. We replaced with oil rubbed bronze. Big improvement.
Nickel is usually the highest priced, and to me it is really difficult to see the difference with chrome. I met with a super high-end designer and we briefly discussed this, and she told me not to waste my money on the nickel. The bronze, on the other hand, is gorgeous.
ORB. Nickel looks cheap.
Unlacquered brass
|
Either is fine. Go with your style and enjoy your home. I don't think your friends will judge if you're not perfectly on point with what's au currant in fixtures.
I mean, I have a preference for sure, but as long as it is not shiny chrome or brass/gold, I am good. If you are worried about resale, an I think most buyers will agree. They're not going to not buy the house because your chose BN over ORB |
ORB is so yesterday.
Brushed nickel is now builder grade standard so I wouldn't go with it.
So what is TODAY |
