Poor or middle class food

What would you determine 'poor' or 'middle class' foods?

I mean the actual products, meals, restaurants

I think everyone ate everything growing up in the 80s and 90s.

the last few years I think there is more of a divide and an outcry against these foods and chains.

okay... "poor" is very different from "middle class". If you are clumping both together, I would say anything other than caviar, escargot, and imported cheeses.

i don't know - why don't you ask the average kid living in poverty? the children in the slums of mumbai? a kid living in the poor parts of soweto?

I don't think 'poor' people are spending $3+ on bagged salad. Nor are they going to Applebee's.
