| We have a vegetarian guest visiting this weekend and will probably go out for a few meals. Any suggestions on restaurants that have inspired veggie options? We don't go out much anymore since we had a busby recently so i appreciate the help! |
Yuan fu in Rockville--- my favorite! . Kid friendly, too. Founding farmers in fancier but lots of veg options. For vegetarian restaurants check out vegdc.org

I echo the suggestion for vegdc.
veg garden also just re-opened in Silver Spring If you really want to wow your guest I would suggest going to Great Sage - it is a hike, about half an hour away, but so amazing! And all vegetarian Another one of my very favorite veg places is Woodlands indian in Langley Park, which has an AMAZING vegetarian buffet on the weekends for lunch. Yaun fu is pretty good. Not too many other amazing veg places in Rockville and Bethesda - I wish there were as we live in that area and often travel further away for the best veg places. |

I'm 20:50, and I totally agree--- Great Sage is amazing! Classy, delicious, just great! Just so far away! |
| OP - thanks for the tips! Great Sage sounds great, will definitely check it out sometime even if we don't get to it this weekend. |
| My husband is vegetarian and in Bethesda he really enjoys Lebanese Taverna. Easy to make reservations on open table. Also, it's spacious and people do have kids there in the early part of the evening. Congrats on your baby! |

This is the "got to" restaurant that we order from for work events so we have veg. fare. It's very good. |
| I go out to eat with a vegetarian friend a lot. In Rockville, we've gone to La Tasca, Thai Pavilion, and Spice X-ing. Also Vegetable Garden (yes, Silver Spring, but basically it's in Rockville). Ethiopian is another good option, but I've only been to places in Silver Spring (Addis Ababa and one other that I forget the name of). |

| There are a couple good Indian restaurants in Bethesda (Kadhai, etc.) that might be a good option, or you can do well at Jaleo. |
| Mark's Kitchen is in Takoma Park, so kind of a mini-trek from Bethesda, but it's excellent, informal, and very kid-friendly, if you happen to have the baby with you. (We moved to NoVa from Silver Spring a few years ago, and I miss Mark's like crazy.) Bacchus of Lebanon and Passage to India are also good--we've vegetarian, and I always love going to either place. Also, Ethiopian food can be very veg-friendly, and there's a lot of it in DC. |
| Woodmont Grill in Bethesda used to make a great veggie burger. Haven't been there recently. |
