Need recommendations for Jewish deli platters in Rockville area

Anonymous
Hello! My Mom is being bat mitzvah'd next weekend (she wasn't as a child) and I need to order some deli platters. Would love one with bagels and lox, one with sandwich stuff (cold cuts, toppings), and maybe a salad platter (tuna, whitefish, etc.) The get-together will be at their house which is on the border of Rockville and Potomac. Would love recommendations or warnings from everyone! I live overseas so I'm not familiar with the places in their area, and it's a surprise for her so I can't just ask her.

Thanks guys!

I haven't gotten a platter from either of these places, but they are the first to come to mind--

Attmans is a well known deli from Baltimore that recently opened an outpost in Cabin John (Potomac).

Ize's is a deli in Rockville known for good bagels but they do sandwiches as well.

why can't it be from a black owned deli?

Bagel City is good, too!

I suggest Goldbergs in Rockville.

Parkway Delis platters are good.

Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit.

Terrible bagels.

Do you need Kosher-style or certified Kosher? If neither, any deli including the supermarkets are ok.

The person is asking for Jewish deli. This would be the same as asking for an Italian restaurant, Korean barbecue etc. The person is not asking for (nor are responders insisting) that the establishment be owned by Jews, only that it serve food that is tradtionally recognized as the type that is served at a Jewish deli.

I'm not the originally PP who questioned your reading comprehension, but I agree with them.

OP here, and in fact Bagel City is now owned by Koreans (I've been told). Still enjoy their pizza bagels when I go visit.

Try Potomac Village Deli. They cater. Bagel City is also good for platters.
