We are moving out of our home and then putting it on the market. Since it will be empty, we'll want to stage it with some furniture, etc. Rather than paying to rent stuff (which is what I assume happens if you use a staging company?), are there realtors who have furniture that they use for their clients w/o tacking on a charge for the furniture rental? Is this a thing, or am I crazy and just need to suck it up and pay for some rental furniture? We're in Capitol Hill FWIW.

City Chic will help you with this. Ask for Lindsay. She sold our house in two weeks.
Don't think you need staging for that location. Maybe if you have a weird floorplan. Most builders don't stage and they are most concerned with profit. It'll sell regardless.
Yes, this exists. Adam Isaacson was our agent last year, and he covered the cost of a stager and 1 month of the company's rental furniture. Place looked great, and we had offers right away.

A good number of realtors already have sweet deals with stagers. You can at a minimum get a discount. We got staging for free as part of the negotiation with our agent since we were selling and buying.
