Mother's Day brunch ideas

New to the area and a FTM. Does anyone know of any great mother's day brunch ideas, preferably a lavish buffet, and preferably in NoVA or MD?

I'd recommend your own home, with DH cooking. Mother's Day is one of THE WORST times for eating out in terms of crowds, plus everyone brings their kids, so it isn't exactly a peaceful experience.

If you insist, Del Ray Cafe has good brunch and is family friendly while staying fairly classy. It has a French flair, although it isn't typically a buffet. I think there are a few places in Old Town, too, but again I think they're mostly sit down, not buffet.

I'd order in from a caterer you like. Set it up on the back deck or patio and enjoy some spring.

Normandie Farm in MD will have a nice (if not pricey) brunch.

good luck OP, my mom is bummed we didn't book her favorite brunch spot in time...should have done it weeks ago!!
