| We are finalizing our vacation plans, and were wondering if PK3 starts before or after Labor Day at Lee? I know it's about 50-50 with other schools on whether first half days are before or after L day for the 3s. |
| Probably worth getting in touch with Lee directly. |
Will do. I was hoping to not be that "I know I'm still on the waitlist, but in the Top 10, and hoping to get into you" email about the possibilities. DCUM knows all. They taught me how to fold a fitted sheet, certainly, they know Lee's start date! |
| Sept. 2 |
| IT starts 9/2. I can't imagine Lee would start before them. So plan on 9/2. |
| Double check with Lee. Montessori has a staggered start date for all entering children and Lee will be doing the same thing. The children will not all start on the same day, they trickle in a few at a time and are all in place within a week. There is also a Montessori boot camp. I don't think the PK3 children are doing it, but you need to double check with Lee. |
|
I was told that school starts on August 25. Not sure if there's staggered start for PS3 or not.
Just contact Lee and ask. They seem happy to answer questions even from those on the waitlist. |
| I am the poster who mentioned about the staggered date. The official first day of school is August 25, yes. This is the date that the kids start trickling in. All kids should be in place by August 29. At the end of the day, you should call (or email) Lee. |
|
August 25 is the first day for K and 1st.
September 2 is the first day for PK3/4. This is from the information sheet we received with the enrollment package. |
Thanks! To vacation I go! |
| I can't believe you won't just call the school but instead are relying on a post from DCUM. |
| ^^I also was at the Open House for accepted students, received the information sheet, and can tell you that they said more than what was on the sheet about start date. But whatever, enjoy your vacation. Hope you get back on time if you get in. |
| Why would it start before IT does? |
| Because it is a different school. |
Thanks for the non-informative snark. I was trying to not bother the administration. I respect their time on trying to enroll, hire, and build out space for the school. |
