Refinishing hardwood floors with damage

We got a quote from a recommended company that has a number of line item costs: a separate charge for the staircase $600, $2.70 a square foot to sand and stain the main floors, $1.80 a square foot for new shoe molding plus installation, $4.40 a square foot for materials plus installation for baseboards.

Can anyone please give me a sense of how these costs compare to other companies? There are also some repair charges and new flooring charges. This is coming to about $13,000 for repairs, new floors for one bedroom and baseboards only on one level - sq. ft. is about 2,900.
