I had cycle day 3 b/w done at Labcorp in Maryland. AMH showed greater than 1 when my AMH was less than 0.7 before my first IVF last year. I am not a great egg producer so 0.7 seemed believable. I have always been a somewhat anemic person. With iron supplements my highest Hemoglobin has been around 12. At Labcorp, it showed close to 14. My Prolactin levels have always been on the higher side though not very high. At Labcorp that level was perfectly normal. Is there a chance that those results are not mine? They are all good, so I am trying to not stress out but it's hard to believe them.
Anyone have experience of getting incorrect results? |
| Your levels on everything fluctuate over time. The numbers you list are not big fluctuations. I've had wilder swings on a number of tests. Not sure why you think it's because of incorrect lab results. It's not like the numbers are different by a huge factor. More likely, the numbers are what they are, which honestly, is about the same as before. |

OP here. AMH surprised me the most. While less than 0.7 is considered DOR, AMH of more than 1 isn't.
The lab I went to was extremely crowded (not surprising) but the guy asked me to go sit in Room 2 and entered my information there. Then asked me to switch to Room 3. That raised my suspicion that the blood could have been messed up. |

I agree with 11:10--bloodwork results will fluctuate and those difference in the results aren't so unbelievable that I'd think my results were switched.
AMH + AFC + FSH = more telling of your reproductive potential than any one of those numbers by themselves. |
| Maybe the bloodwork was mixed up, maybe not. But what are the odds someone was there at the exact same time as you, getting the exact same tests drawn? Unlikely imo |
| OP, I agree with the others. My results fluctuated significantly over the 2 years we spent TTC, and I don't think the changes in AMH you're describing are particularly dramatic. |

The first time i has my day 3 blood work I am convinced my results got mixed up with the older lady before me. I got an FSH result of 21 at 29 years old. A couple months later I got a 7
And my anthral follicle count was something like 19 and Amh 1 So I def think that test was a fluke because they also called our names wrong when drawing the blood |
