Our club does not currently have a F & B minimum but is proposing one next year. Oddly alcohol purchases would not apply to the minimum. I am trying to do a bit of research on other clubs in the area so we can go back to management with some comps. Please list the following:
Club name Food and Beverage Minimum and Period (for example $150 quarterly), etc. Alcohol applied to minimum (yes or no) Thanks |
|
150 a quarter
Alcohol is included Club is on west coast (we have several homes) Prefer not to say club name - golf club only, no tennis or pool |
| People still belong to country clubs? Wow. |
Mostly for golfing and pools. Yes. |
|
115 month
Alcohol not included Local club (NOVA) |
|
$250 per quarter
Alcohol Included MoCo Club |
| Our club has no minimum. Hmmm. Are eve in the same club? I haven't heard that ours is considering one, though. |
|
$170 per quarter
Alcohol included |
| Chevy Chase Club- no minimum |
| $450/quarter - alcohol included |
Wow, that seems like a lot. $1000 a year for F&B? |
It is less than that $115/mo listed above. |
| I don't mind the f&b minimum, especially in the summer that amount goes quickly. |
I have found this too. We do Sunday dinner at the country club from May-October plus all the other random lunches and dinners when we're at the pool. Certainly no more expensive than picking up food somewhere and it's convenient since we are hanging out there anyway. |
If you can afford a CC membership then a F&B minimum should not be of concern. I spend over $100 a month just at the Lifetime Fitness cafe and there is no alcohol. |
