Spider Vein Treatment

I am considering gettining my spider veins taken care of. Anyone had this proceedure? Pros, cons, complications, reccommendations for witch type of proceedure, ie; saline or removal, please, doctor or medical center?

There is no witch type, my sister had laser. Lasted a few years but they came back.

I have been wondering about this as well. I am only 30, but my mom has a few really bad spider veins and I can already see where some are forming on me (my skin is ghostly pale, which doesn't help). Is there anything I could do to keep them from getting any more noticeable?

OP here. Apparently there is also a procedure where saline is injected into veins.
Really want to know experiences and if any complications.. I have heard they return eventually in other places.

I had it done last year. My legs were pretty bad and I got about 85% of them removed. I'm going back for the other 15%. Last year's worked pretty well and don't seem to have come back - or maybe only slightly. I have no illusions that I'll never have to have it done again, but I am hopeful that it will only need to be done every few years as a touch up. I feel so much better about my legs - not perfect, but not embarrassed any more.

It does sting, but it's temporary. It's like getting mini-shots so it hurts a little, but is not too bad. My bruises were mostly gone within a week, but I bruise pretty easily. I did wear the compression stockings for an extra few days or a week or so, but again, I did that because I bruise so easily and am so fair and because my veins were so bad. Other than that, "recovery" was nothing.

I would definitely recommend it.

How much does it cost, PP?

22:02. Recommendtion.on where you had your proceedure done. Was it saline or laser? How long was your recovery?

I had it done at the Center for Vein Restoration in Alexandria. I went back to work right after the procedure, which took maybe 30-45 minutes, including changing time ( I brought shorts with me but didn't wear them out of the office). You will want to wear pants for a few days afterwards because your legs will have red patches around the injection sites. I had a triple, which is 3 vials of saline - at my appointment. The cost for a triple was $500. I had to buy compression hose, which you have to wear for the 24 hours following the procedure and then during waking hours for the week afterwards. I got some pretty sheer ones that look like regular hose ( they come in a lot of shades and colors). They were expensive - maybe $60 or so. One other thing - after the redness went away I did have some slight bruising at the injection sites that lasted maybe a week or so. Hope that helps!
