Do you list the infant when counting the number of guests? I want to make sure there is room for a stroller but I know the comments section often goes unread. On the other hand I don't want the restaurant to expect a paying customer when there won't be one. What do you do?
Yes, I include an infant in the count if we expect there to be room for them (ie: stroller, high chair). The restaurant doesn't care about paying customers when you make a reservation, they care about space. I usually make a note in the comments section if we need a high chair or space for a stroller. It's on them to read it at that point but at least the space will be there.

Call the restaurant to tell them after making the reservation.
Depends on how nice the restaurant is. Do they have high chairs and do you need one? Or just a place to put the stroller/carseat? I would reserve the number of non-infants, and then call to let them know if you need additional space or anything. |
If I want a high chair or space for a stroller/ car seat I will include and say in the "notes" that I have a baby. If I have a little infant and we want a 2 top then no.
Agree. It's all about the space. If infant will sit in your lap, you are two. If you need a separate chair, you are three.
