Good evening,
Please share a delicious granola recipe without chocolate and mostly "clean". I was checking the sugar in the store bought granola and I went .
Thank you! |

This is my favorite. http://www.eatingfromthegroundup.com/2009/12/the-new-granola/
Sometimes I use coconut oil instead of canola oil. I also add some pumpkin seeds if I have them. |

my grandma used to make granola when I was growing up. It's pretty much the only granola I eat to this day. Here's teh recipe. I usually make a half batch, though it does keep well if you put it in an air tight container. The original recipe used raw sugar though I've used regular with fine results. Also, I always put in less sugar than it calls for and I've never soaked the raisins like the recipe says to do. Also, I usually use regular oatmeal, not quick cook, because that's what I have on hand. I think it's fine.
Granola Cereal 4 C oats (quick cook) 1C walnuts 1 C sugar 1/4 C oil 1/4 C water Mix together in bowl by hand Set oven temp at 350. On baking sheet place aluminum foil & spread mixture on it. Bake until brown, about 20 min. (not too dry). Add 1 C raisins which have been soaked in water. If raisins are put in along with other ingredients they become hard. |
