| Can someone recommend an Opthamologist (NOT Optomestrist) in bethesda or NW DC area? I really need to get an exam from a doctor....thanks. |

Marc Holzman
(202) 296-1333 2021 K St NW #416 I like him a lot. Doesn't push stuff on you like laser surgery (although he does do laser surgery). In fact, when I asked about it, he recommended against it, saying that I could still read okay without my glasses and that laser surgery would make it so I would have to use reading glasses. |
| I would love a good opthamologist rec too, in NOVA |
| Andrew Adelson at 19th & M |

Thomas Clinch of Eye Doctors of Washington.
Offices downtown in DC and Chevy Chase, MD (Wisconsin Circle) |
| In NOVA I really like Dr. Mary McAteer of Northern Virginia Ophthalomology Associates. They have several offices, the Alexandria number is 703-922-0906. |
| I second the Mary Beth Macateer recommendation. I used to go to Bill Rich in that practice and then he got too full to book appointments in a reasonable amount of time and switched to Dr. M. My dad, also a doctor, goes to that practice and has for 30+ years. |
| Really like Dr. Yau is downtown Silver Spring... |

Anyone know if any of these docs would be good for developmental issues, possible mild tracking difficulty, eye aches w/ reading?
My DC has glasses for mild mild farsightedness, but the doc was unimpressive, and I'm not sure he really paid attention. A NOVA rec would be great--but could do DC. Thanks! |
| There is a pediatric ophthalmologist in the same practice as Dr. McAteer, his name is Dr. Seidman. We have taken DS to see him twice and he has been very kind and good with our son. HTH. |
| I second the recommendation for Dr. Yau in Silver Spring. |
| Thanks 20:11 & 20: 26! |
