Talk to me about living in Adams Morgan/ Woodley/ Kalorama

Specifically with older kids...
We are thinking of buying but only want to buy if we know our kids will have a community they can grow up in. We like the city. We are city people.
For those who live there, can you discuss thoughts on school and community with kids growing up there? Do you have kids in junior high, high school?
Thanks.

Very few older kids in Adams Morgan. May be more in Woodley/Kalorama.

We live in Adams Morgan/Lanier Heights and, though our kids are slightly younger, we have no intention of moving. The same is true of our many neighbors with young-ish kids. I think it's true that there aren't as many older kids around (maybe they're just in school), but I also think that's changing. It's definitely a great family/community neighborhood. As for school, we gave up on public but are very close and convenient to a number of really good privates (and charters if you can get in).
