| Crossing our fingers for something! Best number in 20s at Barnard. 40s at Powell and Bruce-Monroe. |
| I think it's too soon to tell. Wait until after May 1. |
|
Barnard has 60 PK3 slots so probably your best bet.
|
| Good point. Hard to be patient though. Feels like all we've been doing is WAITING!!! |
| You'll likely get in to all three. Which is your in-bound? |
I highly doubt that. Not to bum you out, OP, but does PP know the historical movement for these waitlists? It's not not a lot... |
| Bruce Monroe is not expected to move a lot this year because of much higher demand. |
| And Powell has tons of IB folks on the waitlist. Barnard already started accepting OOB...i just think it will move faster. |
Barnard might move faster than Bruce Monroe or Powell. There is more interest in the dual language programs at BMPV and Powell. |
| We're also hoping for PK3 movement at Barnard, with a waitlist number in the low single digits. Their waitlist seems relatively short this year. Any theories about why that would be? |
| My theory is that Barnard didn't break into too many people's top 12 in the first ever unified lottery and that explains the shorter waitlist. We're at Barnard for PS3 now and are very happy. Good luck! |
| And be cause it has 60 spots. Other schools only have 30. |
Unified lottery means families that were matched for other schools got dropped from Barnard's list. Hopefully, it also means the list moves faster. Though it may mean it doesn't move at all. We had a number around 10 last year and never got a call. You should know by May 1st or shortly thereafter. There are bound to be families who were got in but are still waiting to hear from one of the charters that didn't participate in the unified lottery. |
| I was #8 on Barnard list last year and didn't get a call. Powell came through and we couldn't be happier. |
| I was hoping for Powell but got fully shafted!! |
